Are you using email marketing in your business?
If so, why are you using it AND how are you using it?
If not, why not? Email marketing is such a powerful tool to utilise in your business to gain subscribers, engage your audience and have a platform to teach what you do and sell your products and/or services.
Another reason to engage in email marketing is your list of subscribers is something you can ALWAYS have a record of (provided you don’t SPAM people). If Facebook/Instagram go down – where are those people?
Think of your email marketing platform and lists as your insurance for your building trust and getting in front of your likes and followers in the business.
When it comes to email marketing solutions – I don’t think you can go past ConvertKit; especially when you’re a SME service-based business owner or creative!
So many business owners – when starting out – do so with Mailchimp and to be honest, there is nothing wrong with that.
However, the problem with Mailchimp, until recently, is they were behind the times in their plan offerings and ability to do things. The problem with that now, is that their plan prices have gone up as a result, which makes it an easy decision for current users to look elsewhere to see what competitors have on offer.
I changed quite a while ago from Mailchimp to ConvertKit and have never looked back.
I wanted to leverage my business operations and the ways things are done, as seamlessly as possible. Not only for me when producing the back-end set-up and connectivity BUT also for the people on my lists and the people I want to engage to be on my lists.
ConvertKit allows me to:
– build my list of subscribers,
– engage my subscribers on content relevant and of interest to them,
– create landing pages,
– create workflow email sequences,
– create automations and rules on what to do based on certain criteria,
– create tags so I can segment my audience (based on interests and behaviours).
It is a completely easy and user-friendly tool to navigate all those things and help you build out your business so you can create greater visiblity, funnels in the business and supports multiple income streams – if you so wish.
So, now that I’ve outlined the basics of what it can do – does it allow you to think of what is possible in your business and how you can use email marketing to leverage your trust and authority factor, as well as supplement your teachings and sales?
One of the reasons that ConvertKit may not have been as appealing to many people who are looking for an option – is the fact that the base plan is payable (US$29 p/mth) BUT that all changed earlier this year when they introduced a FREE plan
(About time too as I think it was the one thing that was lacking in their business model).
ConvertKit have seen an up-tick in their new plan holders and garnered themselves raving fans as a result.
My next questions for you to think about:
Where are you in your business?
Have you hit the ceiling and tired of 1-1 work that is sapping all your energy?
Where do you want to be?
Do you want to branch out and diversify your income streams and change to 1-many instead of 1-1, with product offerings and/or courses?
How are you going to get there?
What tools and resources are you going to use to get to the point of where you see yourself to achieve your goals of more time, more money, stress-less?
Is an email marketing solution going to help you?
Essentially, you can’t get to where you want to be unless you have the right email marketing solution in place to help you get there, with ease!
I have been experiencing first-hand the power of a properly set-up strategy and I’d love for you to experience that in your business too.
You don’t need to do it alone, you either engage someone to do it for you OR you learn how to do it.
You can get started quickly and here is an idea to consider:
Create a landing page and collect interest that gives you more time to create a better product and an invested audience to sell that product to.
The ConvertKit Free plan is the best way to start your service-based creative project today.
With a free ConvertKit account, you can build unlimited landing pages to start growing an audience for your new project. Choose from 30 different templates, add your content, personalise the design, and hit save.
If you are in the market to drive your emails – then you’d need to consider:
– inclusions and connectivity (i.e. landing pages, automations, email sequences etc.), and
Overall, I highly recommend ConvertKit.
However, there are a number of other email marketing solution providers on the market, i.e. Drip, Constant Contact and Keap (formerly InfusionSoft), to name a few.
